Kat Dennings (n e Katherine Victoria Litwack) was born on the 13th day of June, 1986 in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. Her mother, Ellen had been a speech and poetry therapist, while the father of her, Gerald, was a molecular pharmacologist as well as a professor at a college. Dennings was born into the home of a Jewish family, and was the eldest child. Dennings was homeschooled, and then once did she attend a traditional school. Because she was trying to pursue acting from an early age, the homeschool arrangement made the most sense as she was able to finish high school by the age of fourteen. When she was just nine years old, she was doing commercials on television. Her move into Los Angeles with her family after high school to pursue acting. Kat Dennings was her name as she began auditioning. Kat Dennings, who had moved between LA from LA to LA in 2000 made her debut appearance on an HBO series called "Sex and the City". Then, she starred on the sitcom of WB "Sex and the City".
